Fantastic plants in Chornobyl, Ukraine, and how to study them

People still believe that radioactive things can harm nature more than people do. Lucky us, lucky nature: radiation is not that bad! Here, in Chornobyl (Ukraine), after 1986 nuclear disaster, things are beautiful, ugly, green, blue, happy, sad. But always very natural!

And this rewilding area is so interesting for researchers. Ideal lab under the sky. We try to understand how nature, plants and animals respond to human disasters. We measure tree growth and weight fish in local ponds. And count the cows who escaped from abandoned farms. Having some fun, and try to make this fun useful for nature and society.
