Blink and You’ll Miss It: What’s the Quickest Thing You’ve Ever Seen?
My research focuses on ultrafast and attosecond physics, where we study incredibly fast events that happen in just a few attoseconds (a billionth of a billionth of a second). This field helps us explore the behavior of matter and light at extremely small time scales, allowing us to uncover new insights into how electrons move in atoms and molecules, how they interact with ions, and how we can control these processes in real-time. We can influence chemical reactions, design new materials, and develop advanced electronic devices. This field also promises practical applications in biology and quantum computing.
