Does obesity and weight change affect the risk of asthma?
My research focuses on asthma, a complex disease with multiple phenotypes. Each phenotype has different causes, symptoms, and treatment needs. Some have been well studied, while others are newly emerging and not yet well understood. I aim to identify these phenotypes and discover new biomarkers to improve diagnosis and treatment.
My current project examines how obesity and weight changes affect asthma risk and outcomes. My research will answer the question: Does obesity and weight change affect the risk of asthma? And do obese asthma patients have a different disease phenotype than non-obese asthma patients?
