A better life for childhood brain cancer survivors

There are 11 thousand young people in Sweden who have beaten brain cancer, but suffer from complications, mainly due to the damage done to the brain from radiation therapy. My research describes how lithium, given after radiotherapy, can boost neuron formation, to provide hope for a better life for childhood brain cancer survivors.”I am an experienced researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the academia and the pharmaceutical industry. I have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Biology, with a specialisation in Genetics, Developmental and Molecular Biology and a Master of Medical Science degree with a Major in Biomedicine from Karolinska Institutet.
