Collaborative Projects Addressing Societal Challenges
My presentation is about my research on how to better design collaborative projects addressing societal challenges like water and sanitation. My research findings have revealed how collaborative projects pursued by a combination of many organisations can address grand, complex and enormous societal challenges, that would have been difficult for a single organisation to achieve alone.
However, collaborative projects have dark sides too as they create unintended negative consequences in the communities they are implemented in. My research findings can inform leaders, change makers, managers, etc. on how to better design and implement collaborative projects that do not create other problems.

Am sure your research will have much impact on Environmental Sanitation and Hygiene:
Proper environmental sanitation and hygiene are crucial for preventing diseases and promoting public health. Effective waste management, clean water supply, and sanitation infrastructure significantly reduce the risk of waterborne and infectious diseases.
Benefits:
1. Reduces disease transmission (e.g., cholera, typhoid)
2. Prevents vector-borne diseases (e.g., malaria, dengue)
3. Protects water sources from contamination
4. Promotes food safety and security
5. Enhances community well-being and quality of life
Consequences of poor sanitation and hygiene:
1. Increased disease outbreaks
2. Water pollution and scarcity
3. Unhygienic living conditions
4. Economic burdens on healthcare systems
5. Environmental degradation
Strategies for improvement:
1. Invest in sanitation infrastructure
2. Implement waste management systems
3. Promote handwashing and hygiene practices
4. Educate communities on sanitation importance
5. Encourage proper waste disposal
Collective efforts from governments, communities, and individuals can significantly enhance environmental sanitation and hygiene, leading to improved public health outcomes and a cleaner, healthier environment.
